Public places

There are many public spaces and every-day shopping destinations within a 1-mile radius of the California/Escuela intersection. These include two schools, several public parks, the Senior Center, the Teen Center, the Day Worker Center, produce markets, drug stores,  two transit centers, plus shopping on El Camino Real, Castro Street, and the San Antonio Center. Residents frequently travel along or cross California Street on bike or on foot.
